Our Client is a global supplier of medical products, solutions and services and they are currently looking for a Marketing Manager in the greater Chicago area. In this role, you will drive the creation and execution of strategic and tactical marketing plans that will drive sales growth in the U.S. for a specific product group. You will also work in sales support, advertising/promotion, pricing and life-cycle management planning, exhibit presence, competitive landscape information, and launch planning and execution.   

Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams and the sales force to ensure products and events fulfill the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Interact with customers, by meeting regularly, attending conference/conventions, responding to requests and explaining procedures.
  • Assist in developing and identifying new work processes and the improved utilization of human and material resources as related to the product portfolio.
  • Develop local marketing initiatives that maximize sales force effectiveness and overall penetration of product portfolio.
  • Assist in the development and execution of promotional plans, clinical marketing presentations, trade show strategy, peer-to-peer programs, and general sales force support.
  • Determine and develop approaches to solutions, specifically in the area of downstream marketing.
  • Acquire and apply competitive and market research data to reassess and recalibrate marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Partner with the sales/customer education team to identify and execute against key training initiatives
  • Responsible for the professional development, performance management and mentoring of team members

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field (Master’s/Advanced degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 4 years of Marketing experience; at least 2 yrs in a medical products setting.
  • Must have downstream marketing experience in a medical product setting. Prior sales experience is ideal. 
  • Formal leadership experience strongly preferred. 
  • Strong presentation skills accompanied with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to plan, set objectives, measure performance, provides direction and builds a culture of employee involvement at all levels.
  • Strong track record of leading, developing and executing projects.
