We have partnered with another world leading healthcare manufacturer whose exciting new products include 3D Imaging Technologies, Hybrid Operating Theaters, Workflow Management and various lifesaving solutions.  They have asked us to help them identify a strong Field Service Director, to manage managers and a large direct team of biotech and service engineers.  This team supports their equipment which is used throughout the hospital.  

We seek strong management experience as well as communication skills.  This is a customer facing role at times and requires managing many moving parts.  You and your managers will be managing a large team of field service engineers in Sacramento, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent application of company strategies, policies and procedures.

Healthcare experience is NOT a requirement, but documented management experience of a complex field service team is.



  • Hire, develop, train and coach Field Service Managers & Engineers
  • Obtain service financial goals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Prioritize customer and business objectives to provide clear direction to service team.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely follow up on all issues
  • Develop relationships with Key Accounts and provide regular communication across organization


Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and clinical experience.
  • 8+ years of successful experience in Field Service Management.
  • Hospital experience is not required but preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at many levels within the organization.
  • Ability to read, analyze and translate into action financial profit and loss statements.
  • Professional level knowledge on using analytical databases and complex excel workbooks and associated pivot tables.
  • Competent knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record over the last three years.


Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Past experience in managing a large employee-based territory.
  • Knowledge of Hospital Equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to articulate and explain value of Service Agreement offerings
  • Working knowledge of SAP or experience with equivalent enterprise service software solutions.
